Automotive Training Managers Council
NATIONAL TRAINING EXCELLENCE AWARDS
The awardsare given annually to providers of training in all sectors of the service, repair and parts industries, both OEM and aftermarket.
The award serves to recognize the importance of quality training and is anannual program offered by ATMC.
The entry application consists of seven (7) sections. Please provide concise information in each section. Incomplete applications will not be considered for judging and will be returned to the submitter. The award will be given to entries that are determined to meet a level of excellence as judged by an ATMC panel that will consider information submitted in the following format:
- Program Overview
- Needs Analysis
- Learning Objectives
- Program Materials
- Measurement of Program’s Effectiveness
- Learning Aids for the Student to Take Back to the Work Place
- Level of Recognition for Program within the Industry
There is no application fee for ATMC Members. The application fee for non-members is $150 that is payable at the time of application. Each training provider/company may submit one training program each year; programs previously entered may not be re-submitted.

1. Training program overview
Brief description of the training program (250 words maximum).Include subject, target audience, delivery, projected number trained and the expected results.
2. Needs analysis or assessment
Describe how the training needs and conclusions were determined.3. Training program learning objectives
List in detail the learning objectives of the programLearning objectives are defined as those measurable areas that the student should learn.
4. Example of training program materials
Describe in detail the print, visuals, exercises, job aids, etc.Attach samples to demonstrate the quality described.
5. Measurement of the training program’s effectiveness
Quantify the results of changed behavior, productivity, ability and skill demonstrated by the student
Objective measurements taken before and after the training will serve to quantify results. Additional weighting will be given to measurements that evaluate actual job performance before and after training.
Student evaluations of the course, material, instructor and other items are considered part of the measurement.
6. Training “take-aways” for the student to use as job aids in their work place
Describe the job aids provided to the student
Explain how the student will use any job aids and how they will reinforce learning from the training program.
7. Recognition of the training program
Reference any credit given by associations, magazines, newspaper, testimonials and/or other media for the training program. Include copies of articles or other documentation.
