TIMES: Arrive at 8am for 8:30am start

TRANSPORTATION:

As this event begins and ends outside of school hours, students are asked to make their own way to Fred’s Pass. They will be met there by accompanying teacher; Rodney Cremona.

If for some reason, your child cannot make their own way to and from the event, please ensure you contact myself, Nakita Dendle, as soon as possible, so I can try to arrange other means of transport.

PARENTS / GUARDIANS PLEASE NOTE:

Students will need to bring full sport uniform and a water bottle. Students will need to have a fully packed lunch as there may not be facilities to purchase food.

If your child has competed in their relevant event, they will be required to help officiate other events.

Children will need to be signed out before they are able to leave Fred’s Pass, otherwise they will be allowed to leave at the end of the day.

Appropriate footwear, full sport uniform, water bottle, packed recess and lunch and personal sunscreen if allergic to common ones.
Students to meet Mr Cremona at Fred’s Pass Reserve at 8am, Friday the 4th August. Students who came 1st or 2nd at an event at the MacKillop Athletics Carnival are eligible to compete in these events at the PARRS Athletics Day. Once they have competed in their event, students will be expected to help officiate other events. The events cease at 4:30pm, when students will be allowed to make their own way home. Students will need to be signed out before they leave the event if before the 4:30pm finish.
Please contact Miss Dendle if students are unable to make their own way to and from Fred’s Pass Reserve.

Parental Consent

Your attention is drawn to the following important points:
  • Students are under the teacher’s/supervisor’s authority for the duration of the excursion. A student may be returned home at the expense of the parent/caregiver if the teacher/supervisor considers that circumstances warrant such action.
  • The Department of Education has a duty of care for students engaged in school related activities, including excursions and sporting events under its direction or supervision. All reasonable steps will be taken to protect students against reasonably foreseeable risks of injury or harm.
  • Financial responsibility for medical and other costs incurred in emergency situations or where a decision is taken to return a student home, rests with the parent/guardian of the student. Parents may wish to take out additional insurance to cover such costs.
  • Liability for loss, theft or damage to student property is the responsibility of the parent/guardian of the student.
  • Students are not permitted to transport other students in vehicles regardless of written permission being provided.
