The competition is open to swimmers in the following categories: -
8 years; 9 years; 10 years; 11years as at 8thJanuary 2017
A swimmer must be a member of a club within the Wigan Borough
The Organisers reserve the right to limit the number of entries for any event.
THE SWIMMERS ENTERED IN THIS COMPETITION MUST NOT HAVE ACHIEVED THE CONSIDERATION TIMES AS DISTRIBUTED.
The gala is intended for development swimmers not County, Regional or National swimmers.
We ask that each club entering the competition shouldprovideat least 2 suitable swimming officials to help at this gala.

PROMOTER’SCONDITIONS (as of 8thJanuary 2017)
1.ENTRY TIMES
In the event of a swimmer submitting entry times which are deemed to be false, the Promoter/Meet Director may choose to reject the entries at any time.
2.ENTRY FEES
£2.00 per entry
1 club cheque for all entries and spectator tickets to made payable to:
Atherton & Leigh ASC
3.COACHES PASSES
Four per Club
- WITHDRAWALS
It is the responsibility of the Team Manager of each Club to inform the promoters of any withdrawals prior to warm up.
- SEEDING
All events are HEAT DECLARED WINNER. Heats will be seeded according to the submitted times. Swimmers with no entry time will be placed in the slowest heats.
6.ELECTRONIC TIMING
Times and places on the electronic scoreboard are for information only and are not necessarily the official result.
The referee’s decision is final
7.AWARDS
Awards will be presented to the top 3 in each age group: -
8 years, 9 years, 10 years, 11 years and 12 years
8.INDEMNITY
Neither Atherton & Leigh ASC nor Wigan Swimming Clubaccept responsibility for loss or damage to competitor’s personal belongings, how so ever caused, unless damage is caused by the negligence of Atherton & Leigh ASC and Wigan Swimming Club
9.ASA CHILD PROTECTION POLICY
In line with the recommendations in the A.S.A Safeguarding Children Policy, the promoter request that anyone wishing to engage in any video, zoom or close up photography must register their details with the staff on the door before carrying out such photography.
10.All mobile phones must be switched off or in silent mode. The use of mobile phones is strictly forbidden on the poolside and in the changing room during the gala.
11.Children should not leave the poolside in swimwear or bare feet nor wander around the building.
12. There will be a very short break between sessions to enable the second session program. This will only be for a few minutes.
