Basic details: You will gain a valuable insight into how a charity plans and organises special events aimed at generating funds, building supporter relationships and raising awareness of The Sick Children’s Trust. You will be supporting the Special Events Manager on a variety of roles within each Special Event over a 3 month period.

- Up to £10 per day optional travel expenses on production of tickets / receipts
- Up to £5 per day optional food and subsistence expenses on production of receipts / Hours per day and Days per week: / Minimum of 3 days per week, maximum 4 days per week. Hours in office: 10am-5pm

Role
This role involves supporting the Special Events Programme which includes the Supper Club in March, which takes place in a restaurant in the City for around 140 guests, which will include Trustees, Major Supporters and Celebrities. You will also help support The Cricket Event in May, which takes place in London and involves a day of cricket with celebrity players, followed by a evening Gala Dinner for 120 guests.
You will also be able to attend The Supper Club on 8th March and see first hand the lead up to organising a Special Event and how it runs on the night.
You main roles will include:
·  Sending out invitations and ticket mailings
·  Researching and approaching companies to provide ‘games’ for the Cricket Day for the families attending, for example Face Painters, bouncy castles etc
·  Researching and sourcing donated raffle, silent auction and auction prizesfrom companies.
·  Responding to supporter enquiries by telephone, post and email
·  Maintaining and updating the database(Donorflex)
·  Attending and having a key role on the nightof The Supper Club.
·  Attending meetings with venues, suppliers, committee members.

Experience:
