AT HOME SALES AND MARKETING OFFICER

Job Title:At Home Sales and Marketing Officer

Salary:£26,000 + Commission + up to 3% matching pension contribution.

OTE: £31,000

Hours:35 hours per week including occasional evening and weekend work

Responsible to:Business Manager

Purpose of the job:

  • To achieve significant improvement in the market share of the At Home domiciliary care service through developing and implementing marketing strategies and providing expert sales and marketing support to At Home and Age UK Kensington & Chelsea staff.
  • To contribute marketing expertise to the development of a range of paid for homecare services which enable older people to live independently.

Main Duties

1.Sales

1.1To work with the Business Manager and At Home Service Manager to agree sales targets for At Home and strategies to achieve them.

1.2To generate additional income for At Home through sales.

1.3To identify potential paying customers and channels / intermediaries to reach them.

1.4To respond to sales enquiries.

1.5To produce accurate and timely statistics and regular reports based on enquiry and sales records.

1.6To ensure existing levels of sales are maintained and improved through regular client contact and account management.

1.7To work with care staff and to help them improve their selling skills to increase the range of services delivered to existing customers.

1.8To work with staff and volunteers to enable them to identify likely prospects amongst service users.

2. Marketing

2.1To produce appropriate marketing plans in consultation with the Chief Officer, Business Manager and At Home Services Manager and to report on progress to them.

2.2To organise promotions, events and marketing activities.

2.3To produce marketing materials and ensure all promotional material is adequately stocked.

2.4To produce accurate and timely statistics and regular reports based on marketing activities.

2.5To develop and deliver stakeholder management strategy with key intermediaries including meetings, presentations and mailshots to social work teams, GPs and others.

2.6To research and maintain mailing lists of intermediaries.

2.7To write, edit and publish marketing and sales copy on the Age UK Kensington & Chelsea website, social media outlets, local press, online advertising, and other web sites and directories.

2.8To write and place press releases and articles in local, community and trade press.

2.9To respond to press enquiries relating to the At Home service.

3.Contribute to the general running and ethos of Age UK Kensington & Chelsea

3.1To be at all times aware of the full range of Age UK Kensington & Chelsea services and to refer At Home customers to them as appropriate.

3.2To represent the organisation and At Home at external meetings as required

3.3To keep up-to-date with information and issues relevant to older people and care delivery through networking, reading and attending training events

3.4To abide by Age UK Kensington & Chelsea’s equal opportunities policies and procedures

AT HOME SALES AND MARKETING MANAGER

Person Specification

Essential

  1. At least two years marketing or sales experience, ideally within a care or health environment.
  2. Excellent oral and written communications skills with experience of writing for different outlets (web, press, advertising, direct mail).
  3. A self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills.
  4. Proven experience of increasing profile and sales.
  5. Excellent IT and digital communications skills with ability to maximise digital marketing opportunities including search engine optimisation.
  6. Ability to think strategically and function operationally.
  7. Passionate about improving the lives of older people

  9. Degree - ideally within marketing or care related topic
