Why do astronauts eat tortillas instead of bread? Floating crumbs can damage equipment or be accidentally inhaled by astronauts. Tortillas make far less crumbs and can be stored more easily than bread.

What happened to astronaut Scott Kelly’s telomeres in space and why was it unexpected?

They increased in length while he was in space. This was unexpected because telomeres shorten as one ages.
