Father Nick opened the meeting with a prayer.
Meeting was called to order at 4:05 PM.
· May meeting minutes were reviewed and accepted.
· The financial statements were reviewed. The financials were approved by consensus.
Old Business:
· Roger Dreckman completed the concrete work on the bottom 3 front steps and the lower platform. The bill was $1,600.00 and will be paid next week. Thank you to the parishioners who helped with the removal of the steps.
· Tammy and Bob will work together to get a design and order forms made for the centennial t-shirts. Order forms with be put into the bulletin and shirts will be received in time for Christmas.
New business:
· Nancy will look into lawn spraying for the control of weeds.
· Assumption has six students attending TCS for the 2015-2016 year. Tuition is $9,900 and has been paid this week.
· As of Sept. 24th the Picnic net profit is $11,881.92. The parish is still expecting another $500 in expenses.
· Fuel has book booked through Fencl Oil, Insulation was added to the ceiling and furnace filters were replaced in preparation for winter.
· Discussion was held over the next upcoming project for the church. The high altar could use a coat of paint, this would be hired out. Four new vestments are needed and a new funeral Pall. This will be put in the bulletin if anyone has interest in giving a memorial gift for this.
· Fr. Nick asked the council for their opinion about setting aside a small percentage (0.5% to 1%) of the annual budget for works of mercy. The council agreed that the idea has merit. Fr. Nick will consult with other cluster members to build consensus on this issue.
· Fiscal year reports were handed out for the council to review.
· Assumptions next brunch will be on October 4th.
The meeting closed with a prayer at 7:23 PM. The next meeting is December 3, 2015.
