Professor Alejandro B. Curado Fuentes

(University of Extremadura, Spain)

Professor Alejandro Curado Fuentes currently works at the Department of English Philology, Universidad de Extremadura (Spain). He has taught English for Computer Science, Telecommunications and Business Science at the University of Extremadura.Some of his research foci are applied linguistics, discourse analysis, corpus linguistics and data driven learning.His present interests lie in establishing practical connections between corpus-based information and the exploitation of tasks in his ESP courses.

Professor Guliana Elena Garzone

(Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy)

Professor Giuliana Elena Garzone works at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Milan (Department of Studies in Language Mediation and Intercultural Communication). Some of her research interests are legal discourse, discourse in economics, business and corporate communication, scientific discourse, discourse in the media, etc. She is the author and editor of over twenty books and has published over a hundred book chapters and journal articles. Her methodological approach is based on pragmatics and discourseanalysis.

Lana Hudeček, PhD, ScientificAdvisor(Tenure)

Lana Hudeček, PhD, is a Scientific Advisor (Tenure)at the Institute of Croatian Language and Linguistics in Zagreb (Croatia). Some of her main research foci are contemporary language norm and language planning, terminology, lexicology and lexicography, the langauge of business communicatio and media, history of language, etc. She is the author of several books and numerous research papers, as well as the co-author and co-editor of the basic normative handbooks, i.e. Croatian Language Manuals, andshe has participated in more than fifty scientific conferences, round tables and forums.

Milica Mihaljević, PhD, Scientific Advisor (Tenure)

(Institute of Croatian Language and Linguistics, Zagreb, Croatia)

Milica Mihaljević is a Scientific Advisor (Tenure)at the Institute of Croatian Language and Linguistics in Zagreb (Croatia) and she is the head of the Department of Croatian standard language . She is the author and co-author of numerous books, handbooks, schollbooks, as well as research papers published in various scholarly journals. She has participated in many scientific conferences both in Croatia and abroad. Her main research foci are Croatian standard language, terminology, normative grammar, language planning, lexicology and lexicography.

Plenary lectures will be in English.

We welcome presentations and papers addressing topics from all fields of interest within the domain of languagefor specific purposes and await the following types of contributions:

- research studies, reviews, professional papers, case reports, theoretical papers, methodological papers, projects, commentaries, etc.

Paper presentations will be allocated 20 minutes plus 5 minutes for questions.

Cancellation policy

A 50 % refund can be granted if notification of cancellation has been submitted before 31January, 2019. No refund is possible for requests submitted after this date. Refund requests will be processed after the conference and can be submitted to: .

There are several hotels that we can recommend for your stay in Zagreb. The following ones are either the closest to the conference venue or it is rather easy to come to the conference venue by tram.

Palace hotel Zagreb,

On foot either to the railway station (approximately 5 minutes) and then tram no. 9 to the venue, or on foot to the main square and then tram no. 17 to the venue.
