ASSOCIATED BOARD MUSIC EXAMINATIONS – June 2016

Dear Parents/Carers,

We are considering entering your son/daughter for an examination of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. If you agree to your son/daughter taking the examination please complete the form attached to this letter as soon as possible. No entries will be accepted after the deadline of Friday 6th May. If the progress of a pupil is not maintained, the instrument teacher reserves the right to withdraw a candidate (this is a rare occurrence); in this case it is not possible to recover any fee from the Associated Board. If your son/daughter is unable to take the timetabled exam due to illness, then you need to provide a doctor’s certificate and a part refund may be received for exam fee only. If you withdraw your son/daughter for any other reason than illness, you will forfeit all fees.

The exams will be run at school. I will contact you in due course with details of the school accompanist, hourly rate and rehearsal information. This is an additional cost to the fee shown below and details will be supplied after your entry is received.

Additional time may be given in the exam if your child has any special circumstances. A space is provided on the form for you to highlight any special circumstances which apply. More detail can be found at:

Please fill in the application formbelow and return it to Peter Wagstaff inthe Music Office as soon as possible and no later than 6th May 2016(we cannot accept late entries). Payment should be made using Wisepay. The link is under General Products, ‘ABRSM Practical Exams – June 2016’. Entry can only be made once payment is received.
