Associate Dean of Admission for Strategic Initiatives

Position Description:

The Associate Dean will report to the Director of Admission and will be an integral part of the senior leadership of the Office of Admission, paying particular attention to the strategic marketing of the College. The Associate Dean will assist the Director and Vice President in strategic thinking and planning to achieve optimal enrollment and net tuition revenue goals. Consequently, he or she will be skilled at data collection, management and analysis and will be expected to guide the senior enrollment management team in developing and implementing strategy.

The Associate Dean will need to have a general knowledge of automated systems, such as SCT Banner, Technolutions Slate, PowerFaids, EPS, along with knowledge of supporting systems, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel and web publishing. He or she will participate in the range of recruitment and yield activities including recruitment travel, evaluating applications, and representing the College at a variety of admission sponsored events.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience), and six years + of progressively responsible experience in admission and/or college counseling. Outstanding written and oral communication skills and strong leadership ability required, as well as an appreciation for campus and educational partnerships. A demonstrated dedication to a residential liberal arts education, appreciation for diversity, a high level of energy and responsibility, and a sense of humor will be highly valued in the selection process. Travel, plus evening and weekend hours, expected. Valid driver’s license required.
