ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY | CONVERSION OF PRINTED MATERIALS

Description: Some students with disabilities may needassistive technology in order to support their learning. Assistive Technology is any item, piece of equipment, software or system that is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities.

Students: As soon as you register for your courses, please submit a Request for Pre-Arranged Accommodations so that the Assistive Technology Services Office (ATSO) can be in communication with your professors to facilitate the conversion of printed materials into accessible formats.

  1. Submit a Request for Pre-Arranged Accommodations as soon as you register for classes.
  2. Show your Determination of Accommodations to your instructor at the beginning of the quarter.
  3. Keep in contact with the Assistive Technology Services Office (ATSO) with any questions or concerns.
  1. Submit a Request for Pre-Arranged Accommodations as soon as you register for classes. If you have an accommodation that requires pre-arrangement on the part of Accessibility Services, submit one of these forms as soon as your register for classes so Accessibility Services can begin the work of coordinating with the appropriate University staff and faculty members.
  1. Show your Determination of Accommodations to your instructor at the beginning of the quarter. As with all accommodations, show or email your Determination of Accommodations to your professorat the beginning of the quarter if you intend to use assistive technology.
  2. Keep in contact with the Assistive Technology Services Office (ATSO) with any questions or concerns. Should you experience any difficulties with or have any questions about your assistive technology, contact the ATSO immediately.
