TITLE: ITINERANT ENGLISH as a NEW LANGUAGE (ENL) TEACHER

Full-time, position Certified Position

10-Month School Calendar Affiliation: Teacher’s Association

Location: South Seneca, Trumansburg, Groton, & Lansing Elem. School Districts

DUTIES: The Itinerant English as a New Language Teacher (ENL) will be responsible for teaching students in South Seneca, Trumansburg, Groton, and Lansing School Districts and/or Itinerant Districts as needed. The teacher will be responsible for developing an ENL/ESL curriculum appropriate to the NYS mandated regulations for services and grade/ability levels of the children being taught. The ENL teacher will be familiar with the Bilingual Common Core Progressions. The teacher will also maintain appropriate student records and develop and administer appropriate assessments of student performance. The ENL teacher must be flexible and able to work as a member of a team. The teacher will perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess NYS Teacher Certification in ENL/ESL (English as a New/Second

Language) as required.

START DATE: September 1, 2016, or as soon as possible.

SALARY: $43,500 (2016-2017 Full-time teacher base salary to be pro-rated based on percentage of time worked), with additional credit for prior experience, Masters Degree and Graduate Credits. Excellent benefits are available.
