I created my brochure for the company that I created in week 4 which was theBrewed Awakening. Brewed Awakening isan Internet Café.Our commitment to excellence in the craft and artistry of baking enables us to deliver high quality products that look superb, are a culinary delight. Our cafes will feature the height of technology and innovation to make sure our clients have access to the connected community and world. Our mission is to “Revive and Preserve” the elegance and sensation of age old pastry baking and coffee making a techniques to achieve the height of quality and excellence in the cake coffee and pastry industry.This business will start off with a home office in Yellowknife, NT so that start up costs will be reduced.
In creating the brochure I had to make sure that the prospective applicant was well aware of how this company has started from the bottom and risen rather quickly. I also had to make sure that the prospective applicant was aware of how this company is one of the current mode and trendsetters in the nation for online needs, which is partly because of its employees.
For structure, I made sure to mention that the work environment is an up-tempo, bubbly type of feel and environment. This is important because that shows that all employees need to work together to make a common goal. That also helps with the culture because in order for us to be profitable and pursue our business model, we need for our employees to always be active and motivated. Our company structure is composed of a management team that controls the areas of Marketing and Public Relations, Research and Development, Sales and Business Development, Logistics and Corporate Management and lastly the manufacturing team. The business model is well- developed and researched. The business model outlines businesses that are already well established in the same field as this new business, and details how those companies work and succeed or fail. The Marketing team is in charge of building and developing our brand in all of our vertical markets, including ecommerce. They are also in charge of building partnerships with organizations.
The behaviors and attitudes that should be cultivated in my organization is to use ethics, the law, and to keep a very strong, clean, professional, fair working environment for all employees. I would first emphasize to the employee's the expectations of treating all business practices ethically within the company. The commitment to ethics would be the prime example for the whole company. Honesty and integrity would be the top priority. There will be no tolerance for sexual harassment or any other forms of harassment. With ethics being used by my company this will gain a reputation to customers that will bring in more revenue and will out run competitors.
In terms of business model, this company is a trend setter. In order for my employees to stay updated on the best that we have to offer, we need to stay alert and updated with all of the trends in our market, including what is in and what is out. We have a showcase of elegantly decorated special occasion themed cakes priced from $75 - $900. We will also have a wireless café where customers will have ability to connect via the Internet while enjoying leisure or meeting and greeting business associates in an upscale coffee shop/bakery environment.Our organization constantly changes with the time, so therefore our organizational design will too. Any prospective employee needs to be aware of this and be able to adapt. Being able to adapt is our most important attribute.
As for culture, we all have common goals and values at Brewed Awakening. Because the work environment is a fast-paced one, everyone needs to work together to complete a common goal. This means that the way we interact with each other will be open. Employees will answer to their designated manager and entrepreneur or vice president. Employees will help increase customer and vendor satisfaction by providing quality products, customer service, and completions in a timely manner. We will enforce ethical conduct within communications with coworkers. Employees will promote a trustworthy and honest atmosphere to reinforce the vision of ethics within the company. Of course all employees need to respect each other. Research and Development is in charge of the research of the new techniques, constructing methods, and more because market and consumer research and plays an important role
Overall, we will be a successful business because we have our business structure, model, and culture well developed.
