Content of the tasks in the lesson:
Task 1: Work in pairs.Decide which of the following activities are volunteer.
- Taking part in an excursion
- Helping people in remote or mountainous areas
- Giving care and comfort to the poor and the sick
- Participating in an English speaking club
- Providing education for disadvantaged children
- Joining the Green Saturday /movement
Task 2. Work in pairs. Practise the dialogue and then make similar conversations, using the activities that follow.
A: What kind of volunteer work are you participating in?
B: we’re helping people in mountainous areas.
A: What exactly are you doing?
B: We’re teaching the children to read and write.
A: Do you enjoy the work?
B: Yes. I like helping people.

Task 3: Work in groups. Talk about a kind of volunteer work your friends and usually do to help people.
Example:
We usually take part in helping people in mountainous areas. We teach the children to read and write. We enjoy the work very much because we like helping people.
I.GENERAL EVALUATION
1. Good points: -provide students with some volunteer works
-help students practice speaking some volunteer works
- make interaction among students
2. Bad points: The tasks are boring
- The task 1 is mechanical-> ss are passive
- The Task 2 is non-communicative
II.ADAPTATION
(Theorder of teaching keeps from task 1 next task 2 and then task 3)

- Aims.
-provide ss with other volunteer works
-make the task more interesting (create a warm atmosphere in class)
- Technique: change
- Procedure:
+ T divides ss into two teams
+T numbers from 1 to 6 for activities of the task 1 on the blackboard
+ T asks ss to do the task 1 in 1 minute
+ T asks ss of 2 teams to tick numbers which are volunteer works in 25 seconds (Which team give right volunteer works and quicker→ winner
+ T checks and provides other volunteer work.

+ T delivers 2 handouts to ss
Handout 1 for ss 1:
- old and sick people
(giving them money/listen to their problems…)

Handout 2 for ss 2
- disadvantaged or handicapped children
(playing games with them/cleaning up their houses…)
- war invalids and the families of martyrs
( cooking meals/ collecting old clothes…)
+ T asks ss to base on the dialogue and use available cues to ask and answer each other (encourage ss to give themselves cues)
