1.3. Select colours which reflect these occasions in a floristry design
2.  Be able to plan a basic design for a floral display / 2.1. Identify basic shapes used to create floristry designs
2.2. Identify specific flowers and leaf shapes and/or textures from a given range
2.3. State the quantity of plant materials needed for a specific design
3.  Be able to create a design for a floral display / 3.1. Select a ‘shape’ for a specific floral design from a given range
3.2. Identify container or support for the chosen design
3.3. Identify the plant materials suitable for the chosen design
3.4. Select the colours for a specified floral display
3.5. State why they chose those colours

Assessment Guidance

Learning Outcome 1

1.2 Different occasions: may include Christmas, Easter, birthdays, weddings, births, funerals, celebrate achievement, thank you; occasions may be expressions of emotion etc.

1.3 These occasions: refers to those identified in 1.2.

3.3 Plant materials: includes different types of flowers and foliage.
