Project Description:Renovation and addition to the existing gymnasium, theater and the building containing the music program. Work will also occur throughout the campus on the heating / ventilation / air conditioning system, various building roofs and canopies, upgrade fire alarm system, improve site lighting, hazardous materials survey, the lighting replacement project (PCB abatement and lighting upgrade), improved site access, and misc. ADA upgrades.

Activity that has

Occurred this period:A.The architects and engineers presented the site plan submittal to the City of Ashland Planning Commission on February 12th. The Commission continued the review until their March 11th meeting. The Principal, Jeff Schlecht and design team members addressed the Commission with their endorsement of the process and the design.

B.Continued coordination of the Construction Document (CD) phase. The architects sent the 50% CD drawings for review.

C.Received plan approval from the High School to continue with the development of the HealthCenter plan. Randy Robillard (Adroit) is preparing the Construction Documents and Adroit is also preparing a cost estimate.

D.Met with Jerry Greenly (City Planning Dept.) to review the permitting of the new HealthCenter. The renovations will be done under the City’s Master Permit process.

E.Coordination with Balzhiser & Hubbard Engineers (BHE) and Environmental and Engineering Services, Inc. (EESI) to begin the design work for the existing campus HVAC systems addressed in the report from EESI.

F.Coordination with the Terrasurvey, SOS Plumbing, and the Civil Engineers at ZCS to field verify of the location and condition of the existing storm drains and sanitary sewers.

G.Continued coordination with Geoff McPherson on the electrical upgrade of the EnglishBuilding.

for next period:A.Continued coordination with the architects and engineers to review the Construction Documents (CD) phase.

Continued Coordination with Adroit Construction to provide the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the work.
Continued coordination work on the new HealthCenter.
Continued coordination with the Architects and Engineers on the site plan submittal review by the City of Ashland Planning Commission.
