As you are aware that Goods and Services Tax (GST) is being implemented shortly.
It is being consistently highlighted that GST will be a game changing reform for the Indian economy by creating a common Indian market and reducing the cascading effect of tax on the cost of goods and services It will impact the tax structure, tax incidence, tax computation, tax payment, compliance, credit utilization and reporting, leading to a complete overhaul of the current indirect tax system.
Industry is not aware of many aspects related to GST. We have received a feedback from various pockets of Industrial hubs in Rajasthan to organise a series of workshops to equip Industry with the know-how of practical implications of GST in doing business across sectors.
Against this backdrop, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Rajasthan is planning to organize One Day Training Sessions on GST at various locations including Jaipur, Ajmer, Bhiwadi, Kota, Jodhpur, etc in coming months. The objective of organizing the sessions is to create awareness about GST amongst the Industry and also to address their issues and concerns related to the taxation structure. These will be full day detailed sessions on GST. The Jaipur Session is scheduled on 17 June and receiving excellent response/ Very senior industry members have confirmed to attend.
We would be targeting to engage around 100-125 industry participants at the day long Sessions. This would be one of its kind initiatives in the country to engage & educate industry on GST implications at such large numbers.
CII has created a Panel of experts to take these sessions. We have also created a Help Desk specifically for GST so that experts can resolve the smaller queries of industry members online and detailed ones in a professional manner. We would like to organise these sessions starting from 1 June onwards.
In this context, I am writing to request you to kindly facilitate support from Marudhara Industries Association for this important initiative at Jodhpur. The Jodhpur Session is planned for 24 June, 2017. We would request for the following :
- To kindly block your diary for the day long session. Senior Experts on GST shall be taking the various clauses
- To Invite 100 plus industry members/ professionals to attend the day long session
- To support this initiative
