As we know from our reading, Macbeth has some "issues". In today's society, how would psychiatrists analyze him? Your assignment will be as an amateur psychiatrist.
Description:Listed below are various mental illnesses. You are to research these illnesses to determine which best describes Macbeth's condition. Then, write a 2-3 page paper explaining the illness and applying it to Macbeth. Be sure to be specific and provide quotes/textual evidence to support your ideas. Also, be sure to cite correctly, and there should be a works cited page.
Works Cited Page: You may use as many sources as you deem necessary. There are no requirements for this, but whatever you use must be cited within the paper as well as on the Works Cited Page. Think back to your Junior Research Paper!! You can find specific directions on the BHS website under the graduation project link (junior section).
Hypothesis/Thesis: Remember, we have advanced beyond more than a simple thesis by this point of high school. You want to think about your topic and form a general statement in the form of a complex/compound sentence. (Do not, for example, write: Macbeth could be seen as having post traumatic stress disorder since he possesses many of the symptoms of this disease.)
