Membership Agreement

As a Member of the Age Action Allianceyou agree to:

  • Support the vision and values of the Age Action Alliance, as set out in the Declaration, working collaboratively to improve older people’s lives.
  • Act as an ambassador to promote the Alliance and widen its networks and opportunities to improve older people’s lives. Promote the vision of the Alliance and encourage others to join.
  • Agree to share contact details (or agree to be contacted via the Alliance Secretariat if details are personal) with other Members to enable the Alliance to thrive on its extensive networks.
  • Receive communications with information from the Alliance, acting on this where appropriate and sharing with your wider networks to promote the success of the Alliance.
  • Strive to involve older people in the design, delivery and evaluation of our work, meeting older people’s needs now and in future. Guidance on the involvement and engagement of older people, developed by older Members, is located on the Alliance website (
  • Seek out opportunities to collaborate and take practical action in partnership with other members to improve older people’s lives. This might be as active members of existing Working Groups within the Alliance or through initiating work with other members.
  • Share information and good practice with the Alliance Secretariat and Membership, responding to queries from other Members and involving them in your work where appropriate.

As a Member of the Age Action Allianceyouwill:

  • Have your organisation (and hyperlink to website) included on the Alliance website Members page and on Theme pages related to Working Groups with which you or your organisation are involved.
  • Receive regular communicationsfrom the Secretariat to update you on progress and developments in Alliance activities.
  • Have the opportunity to share information and opportunities for action with other members within weekly communications and to blog for the Alliance on how your organisation is taking collaborative action through the Alliance.
  • Be entitled to refer to membership of the Alliance in your own communications and use the Age Action Alliance visual identity as detailed in the guidance note (available from the Alliance Secretariat on request).
  • Be able to share resources and examples of good practice from your organisation for consideration to be included on the Alliance website as part of a hub of information on action to improve older people’s lives
