Arvest Bank Doubles Commitment to Make-A-Wish® Missouri

Granting wishes to two area girls

BRANSON, MO. (November 20, 2013) — Arvest Bank is doubling its commitment to its partnership with the Missouri Chapter of Make-A-Wish® by granting the wishes of two area girls: Cassidy, age 16, of Branson and Hannah, age 15, of Springfield.

The employees of Arvest Bank, working through Make-A-Wish Missouri, are granting Branson resident Cassidy’s wish of a Hawaiian cruise. They invite you to meet Dane and Lisa, Cassidy’s parents at the Hollister Area Chamber of Commerce Luncheon Thursday, November 21st from 11:30 A.M. To 1:00 P.M. at the Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks. Arvest will do a special presentation on giving back and kick off Cassidy’s wish.

“We are so glad to include Cassidy’s wish as we expand our participation with Make-A-Wish in this, our second year of partnership with that worthy organization,” said Pam Yancey, Community Bank President for Arvest Bank in Branson. “Being able to provide a fun experience for a family that has been focused on Cassidy’s health for so long is a blessing for our Arvest team.”

Cassidy was initially diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a cancer of the lymph nodes, in April 2013. She started chemotherapy that same month and ended in July. After a short break, she had three weeks of radiation therapy and was pronounced cancer free as of September 2013.

This is the second year of Arvest Bank’s partnership with Make-A-Wish Missouri. Last year, Arvest Bank selected Eli, a then 4-year-old Springfield boy, for its first Adopt-A-Wish® as part of a grand opening celebration for its Sunshine Street branch. Eli and his family enjoyed a weeklong trip to the famed San Diego Zoo and Sea World in California.

Through the end of the year, Arvest Bank will accept donations from anyone who wants to help grant the one true wish of one of the many other area children — like Eli, Hannah and Cassidy — who have life-threatening medical conditions.
