Arts Access Creative New Zealand Arts For All Award 2016

This award recognises a performing arts company, festival, literary organisation, venue, producer, gallery or museum that best demonstrates its commitment to developing its audiences by becoming more accessible to disabled or Deaf people.

Arts Access Aotearoa and Creative New Zealand recognise the benefits to disabled people and to performing arts companies, festivals, literary organisations, venues, producers, galleries or museums when access to high-quality arts experiences is available to everyone in New Zealand.

The recipient of this award receives $2500, to be used to enhance its accessibility. It includes travel and accommodation for one representative to attend the awards ceremony.

Format and sending options:

If possible, please send your nomination as a Microsoft word document and send via e-mail. One of the panel judges will likely be blind and their screen reader can read all Microsoft word documents but only a few types of PDF documents.

Organisations may submit only one nomination in this category. Arts Access Aotearoa will shortlist the nominations. An industry judging panel will make the final decisions. Shortlisted nominees may be asked to send more supporting information for the judging panel.

We will confirm receipt of your nomination and eligibility within one week of receiving it. Late or incomplete nominations will not be accepted.

be able to demonstrate it has improved its access for disabled or Deaf people between January 2015 and up to the nomination closing date of 11 April 2016
