Today, our school joins almost 30,000 schools nationwide in Pennies for Patients and Pasta for Pennies presented by Olive Garden. For the next few weeks, we will help patients with blood cancers. All you have to do is collect coins and other donations and put them in your classroom's collection box. Remember that every penny counts! Our school goal is to raise $1,000. This week, the class that collects the most money per student by Friday, will be able to be first in line for lunch for all of next week.

Do you know what blood cancer is? It is a disease that occurs in the blood. Our blood is made up of three types of cells: red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. Blood cancer crowds out the healthy blood cells so they can't do their jobs. Do you know what the treatments for cancer are called? Tune in tomorrow to see if you're correct, and keep collecting your money for Pasta for Pennies!

All 7th grade girls who attended the cheerleader meeting. Don't forget that all forms are due with your deposit by Friday, March 21 at 4pm to the front office. If you have any questions please stop by room 308 and see Mrs. Von Krosigk.
