Grading

There will be four assignments, four written exams and a final. The final will consist of three images from each student and their participation in the class production of an image show. The four exams and final will each count for twenty percent of the final grade. The assignments will be graded pass/fail — points will be deducted from the student’s cumulative grade for failure to turn them in.

The exams are quantitative and objective. The final will be necessarily more subjective, with the instructor evaluating images based on how well the student has implemented the techniques covered in class, as well as overall student effort. Images will not be graded based on content.
