Dorothy Gale lives in Kansas with her Aunt Em and Uncle Henry and their three farm labourers, Zeke, Hunk and Hickory. One day, evil school teacher Miss Gultch tries to take Dorothy’s beloved dog Toto, so Dorothy decides to run away from home, Somewhere over the Rainbow.

During a storm, a twister sucks up Dorothy’s house which lands beyond the rainbow in Munchkinland, killing the Wicked Witch of the East, Ding! Dong! The Witch is Dead . With the help of Glinda the Good Witch, a pair of magical ruby slippers, and her new friends, the Scarecrow, the Tin man and the cowardly Lion they Follow the yellow brick road to the Emerald City to ask the all-powerful Oz to get Dorothy and Toto back home to Kansas, We’re off to see the Wizard.

Oz will only grant their wishes if they bring him the broomstick of the Wicked Witch of the West. Meanwhile, this witch is determined to get her hands the ruby slippers and sends out jitterbugs and flying monkeys to capture the group. All ends well when Dorothy throws water over the evil Witch and she melts away.

Back in the Emerald City, the Scarecrow is rewarded for his clever thinking, the Tinman for his compassion and the Lion for his bravery. Dorothy learns the power of her slippers and with 3 clicks of her heels, she returns home…….well there’s no place like it!!

AGE GROUP: School years 3-11 Places will be available this year for school year 3. If you are in Year 3 and wish to audition you must send in a registration form in advance and attend the Audition Workshop

Lower Age: It is important that Parents and Carers consider the ‘staying power’ of younger ones. Although a great experience with frequent breaks and lots of fun, the hours of the workshop week and particularly show week (perhaps 4.00-10pm), can be very long for the younger ones.
