9.EventFormat

Carswillbedivided intogroups based onprevious laptimesrecordedatthesamecircuitinthe same vehicle. Intheeventthatadriverhas not competedatthetrack before,he/shewill beplacedinthe“First Timers”grouptodeterminetheirappropriatecolourgroup,oriftimesareavailable fromanother circuitonthe tablebelow,thentheymaybeplacedin a grouprelativeto thoselaptimes.

If in theopinionoftheClerkofCourseanentrantis competingin thewrongcolourgrouptheClerkofCoursemayatanytimethroughouttheeventchangethatentranttoanothercolourgroup.

Cars will be placed in groups of up to 16, selected to ensure that vehicles of similar pace are on the circuit together. Cars will be started in pairs, with up to 16 cars per group

Runs will be 7 minutes duration, the time commencing when the first vehicle passes the start/finish on its first flying lap.. The chequered flag will denote the completion of the run

The time for the fastest single lap being used for results.

Proposed minimum number of runs on the day: 5

(Note: The Event will not be concluded when this minimum is achieved. Event will only be concluded early for safety reasons or if no competitors available)

Note:Groupingofpairsofcarstoforma ‘mini-race’anywhereonthecircuitis NOTpermitted,and actionwill betakenbytheClerkoftheCourseif suchanincidenttakesplace.

10. FamiliarisationSession.

Threefamiliarisationlapsbehinda pacecarwillbegivento driversthathavenotpreviouslycompetedat the track.Familiarisation laps will not be timed.It is recommended they beaccompaniedbyalicensed Adult competitor witha minimumof 3 yearsexperienceas a passengerto assistin pointingoutflagpoints,brakingmarkers,racinglinesetc. Such passenger shall be an entrant/competitor in this event and shall be attired similarly to the driver.

11. Entries.

c)Membersof thefollowinginvitedclubsareeligibleto enter: Impreza WRX, SSCC, AROCA,HSV, NSWRRC,ARDC, JSCC and other car clubs

d)Preference will be given to entries from Interclub members, WRX, SSCC, AROCA, NSWRRC & HSV.

e)GeneralOpeningDate20th July 2015

f)EntryFee$ 185.00

h)Entry payment shall be via the Paypal portal at proceed to "Event payments". Record the receipt number

i)Entry form shall be online at and will require the payment receipt number for the entry to be accepted. Entries willbeacceptedin orderof receipt

j)EntriesfromDriversbetween15and18 yearsof agemustbecounter-signed/consentedbya parentor legalguardianontheofficialform.The appropriate form will be emailed to the competitor and will need to be produced at driver sign-in on August 16

k)TheOrganisersreservetherightto refuseanyentry withoutgivinga reason

l)Numberof venueadmissionticketsincludedin entryfee:N/A

m)Entry lists shall be provided to invited clubs prior to the event

n)Ifa competitoradvisestheEventSecretarythathe/sheis unableto attendtheevent,thefollowing procedureregardinga refundapplies:CancellationsreceivedbytheEventSecretary on orbefore13th Augustwillreceivefullrefund.Cancellationsafterthatday willreceiverefundat thediscretion of theImpreza WRX CluborganizingCommittee.

o)Anyvehiclepresentedforscrutineeringwillforthepurpose oftheentry bedeemed tohave competed.

Ifadrivertakesactionscontraryto:SuppRegs;DriverBriefinginstructions;or instructionsgiven by an officialoftheeventandsuchactionsresultincostsbeingimposed ontheorganiser bythecircuit management, contractedserviceprovidersorothervalidentitythoseexpensesshallbebornebythe driver.

12. MinimumLicences:

The event is open to all persons holding the appropriate competition AASA Club Racing licence, or an AASA recognised equivalent standard licence (or higher) which must be presented at scrutineering on the day.

Please note AASA licences will be available for purchase on the day

Currentclubmembershipcardare compulsoryandmustbeproducedonthedayof theEventorentry willbedenied.

13. DriversSafety.

Driversmustwear:

(a)A helmetthatcomplieswithAS1698orbetterandcarriesmarkingto thateffect,oris otherwiseapproved byAASA. Helmetsmustbein goodconditionandmustnothaveany perforationsto theoutersurface.

(b)Non-flammableclothingextendingfromneckto wristto ankles,(apparelof nylonorsimilarmaterialis forbidden)..Theonuswillbeonthecompetitorto provethatolderoveralls/suitsstillhavefire-resistant propertiesandarenotimpregnatedwithoilorfuel.

(c)Shoes,whichcompletelycoverthefeet,madeentirelyof leatherorotherflame-resistantmaterials.

Shoesthatcontainanysyntheticmaterialssuchas nylonareforbidden.

(d)In opencarsgogglesora visor witha lensmaterialotherthanglass(ieto AS1609-1981)aremandatory as areleatherorNomexgloves whichentirelycoverthehands.

14. VehicleCategoriesClassesAs per competition rules for each competing Club

Note:TheOrganisersmayre-classifyanyvehicleiftheybelieveitisnoteligiblefortheclassinwhichit hasbeenentered.

15. Scrutineering Requirements

a) Allvehiclesaretobepresentedatscrutineering and must have

•A dry powder fireextinguisherlarger than 900g. capacity conforming to AS1841.5/ 1851andfittedwithinreachof thedriver.

-Seat belts must be fitted to the vehicle and must comply with current Australian Standards

•A bluetriangle,150mmoneachsidemountedto indicatethebatterylocation.

•A secondarymethodof securingthebonnet.

•Allforwardfacingglasslensesto becompletelycoveredbya protectivefilm.

•Alllooseobjectsareto beremovedfromthecar.

-Thebatteryisto befirmlyclamped.

-Cameras and other equipment mounted by suction cup must be secured by a satisfactory secondary tether

•Vehicles that have been issued with a Log Book must present the Log Book at RegistrationandScrutineering.

b) Competitionnumbers aretobepositionedonbothsidesofthevehicle, andmustbeofacontrastingcolour to thesurroundingbodywork.Theymustbe large enough to be easily seen at distance. Competitors are encouraged to also use yellow or orange numbers on the upper passenger side of the windscreen

c)Driversandvehiclesmust bepresentedinaclean andtidy manner,completelyreadyforthetrackincluding thedriver’sapparelandhelmet.Anytyreorcomponentchangestothevehicleafterscrutineering mustbe approvedbytheChiefScrutineerbeforethe vehicleistakenontothetrack.

d) Anyvehiclefoundtobeleakingoilorfluidswhilstcompetingwillbesuspended fromtheeventuntil theChiefScrutineer/ClerkofCourseissatisfiedthatactionhasbeentakentorectifytheleak. Should therebea re-occurrenceof theleakthenthe vehiclewillbeexcludedfromtheremainderof theevent.

e) Allvehiclesmustbefittedwithtowinghooksorasimilardevicebothfrontreartoallowforthespeedy removalof a vehiclefroma “sandtrap”orremovalfromthecircuitin thecaseof a mechanicalfailure.

f)Fuelmustbein accordancewithAASA Standing regulations and ScheduleG5.7of thecurrentAASA NCR.

g) Astickerwillbeissuedconfirmingthatthevehiclehaspassedscrutineeringpriortoitbeingableto compete.

16.Noise.

MaximumNoiseLimit: 95dbaat 30metres.

Any carfoundtoexceed themaximumnoiseemissionlimitwillbesuspendedfromtheeventuntiltheChief Scrutineer/ClerkofCourseissatisfiedthatactionhasbeentakentobringitwithinthelimit. Anyvehicle that exceedsthelimitontworunswillbeexcludedfromtheremainderof theevent.Ifa vehicleexceedsthe noiselimitonanylaporlapswithinarunthenonlythoselapsinwhichthevehicleconformed tothe requirementswillbeallowedforthepurposeof theresults.

17.Pre-EventScrutineeringatCircuit

START 07:30 FINISH 09:00

Note: TheEventwillnotbedelayed duetolatearrivals. ItistheDrivers’responsibilitytoensure theirvehicles are scrutineeredbeforethe scheduledstartingtime of the Event. The drivermustattendscrutineering personallysothattheirdrivingapparelcanbechecked.

18. Drivers’Briefing

ItiscompulsoryforALLDriverstoattend. ScrutineeringwillceasewhilsttheDrivers’ Briefingis in progress.

19.EventSchedule.Starttime 09:00Finishtime 16:30 (4:30pm)

20.ReplacementVehicles. AtthesolediscretionoftheClerkoftheCourse,aDriverwhosevehiclehasbroken downmayuseareplacementvehicle. Thereplacementvehiclemusthavebeenscrutineered and subject to all requirements of the original entry.

21.TimingEquipment.LDtimerswillbeusedforallInterclubsupersprintroundsin2015. Timing equipment shall be provided by the organisers and hire fee for same will be included in the entry fee

22.Results.Asetofresultswillbeavailabletoallcompetitorswithin5daysoftheevent.Resultswillbeavailable ontheNatsoftwebsite. Competitorsrequiringahardcopy oftheresultswill need torequestthem atthetime of entry.

23.Prizes/Awards.Awardswill bespecifictoeachparticipatingclub

24.AuthorityofOfficials. AnyDriver notfollowing areasonableinstructionbyanofficialduringtheEventmaybe excludedat thediscretionof theStewardsof theMeeting.

26.CrashRescueandFireFightingFacilitiesWakefield Park Fire and Rescue

27.AASA Insurance. Publicriskinsurancehasbeeneffected bytheOrganisers

28.AASA PersonalAccidentInsuranceis effectedbytheorganisers

29.Protests.Anyprotestsmustbemadein accordancewithAASANCR’s.

30.Postponement/Abandonment/Cancellation.The organisers reserve the right to postpone,abandonor canceltheEventis accordancewiththeNCR59.

31.UseofProhibitedSubstances. Duringtheeventconsumption ofalcoholicbeveragesinthepaddock,pitsor anypartofthecompetitionvenueunderthecontroloftheofficialsisexpressly forbiddenuntilthepracticeor competitionactivityisconcludedforeachday. Anydriverorcrewmemberwhoisfoundtobeaffectedby alcoholonthedayoftheeventorpracticethereforeshallnotbepermittedtoparticipate.

Competitors, creworofficialsmaybe randomlytested for alcoholor otherdrugsatanytime duringthe event.

32. Garages shall be allocated to clubs proportionate to the number of entries from that club

33.RefreshmentFacilitiesavailable. ARDC 50 Clubwill operateasnormal and sells Hot Take-away style food, drinks and coffee/tea

34.Additionsand/orAlterations.Anyadditionsand/oralterationsto theseSupplementaryRegulationswillbe notifiedto allDriversin theFinalRegulationsorduringtheDrivers’Briefing.

A speed limit of 10Km/h will apply in the pits, paddock and spectator areas.

Any breach of these regulations will dealt with at the discretion of the Clerk of Course
