Are you in need of a lot tech, lube tech, apprentice tech, or any other entry-level position? If so, Lincoln College of Technology would like you to “Look to Lincoln First” when it comes to hiring entry-level employees for your business. As an allied member of the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association, we at Lincoln College of Technology know the difficulties our local dealers face in today’s tough economy, therefore we have created a program designed to help with cost savings.

Advertising costs in today’s market can be astronomical; employers want to find the best candidate for their open positions. Pause for a moment to consider that when you need a lot tech, lube tech, apprentice tech or any other entry-level position, why pay the high cost of advertising when you have a local resource available that will cost you zero dollars to have qualified applicants standing at your door waiting to apply.

With a student bodyplus current graduates totalingover 700, you will no doubt be able to find the applicant that best suites your needs. Using our standard process employers fill out a job order form with the college and submit the information to the Career Service Department. Once submitted the Career Service Department will do a pre-screening to ensure all applicants meet the requirements on the job order before they are referred back to the employer for consideration.

In addition, LincolnCollege is introducing a new technology to help support our employers and students even further. Optimal Resume, a new online service that provides our students with the tools to create professional resumes and provides employers with the ability to view the resumes at their convenience. Unlike our standard service, the Optimal Resume does require a yearly subscription of $49 per month / $588 per year, keep in mind that the cost savings of Optimal Resume is still far less than one weekend newspaper ad. Additionally, subscriptions to this service not only benefit employers but LincolnCollege as well, as 75 percent of the fees charged, are returnedto the school for use in educating students.

“Look to Lincoln First” also offers CADA members the opportunity to reserve lab or classroom space for training purposes at minimal cost. We would like to offer dealers with a current student or graduate of LincolnCollege on their payroll the opportunity to use our chassis dyno. Imagine being able to dial in those modifications for maximum performance. The only caveat being the chassis dyno can only handle rear wheel drive or front wheel drive vehicles.

Many of Colorado’s new car dealers have been strong supporters of Lincoln College of Technology. We sincerely appreciate your participation in our career fairs and employer days at the college. We look forward to assisting you now and in the future.

Sincerely,

John GloverDianna Anderson
