Architectural & Engineering Specification

1.GENERAL DESCRIPTION

1.1.The unit shall be a highly vandal-resistant Surface Mount Accessory, model ETP-SM, no substitutions. The Accessory shall house an ADA-compliant communication device manufactured by Talk-A-Phone Co.

1.2.The communication device shall be capable of activating optional peripheral devices (i.e. activating a preset on a PTZ dome camera).

2.CONSTRUCTION

2.1.The unit shall be constructed of stainless steel and weigh approximately 7 lbs.

2.2.The unit shall measure 10.50" W x 3.75" D x 12.75" H.

2.3.Unit shall be painted in Safety Yellow with "EMERGENCY" emblazoned on both sides in reflective black vinyl letters. Other wording and paint options shall be available (see options)

2.4.Unit shall be designed such that any 400-Series or 500-Series flush mounting Emergency Phone shall mount flush with the surface of the Surface Mount Accessory.

2.5.Unit shall have 7/8" conduit entry holes on back and bottom. For other conduit holes, see options.

3.MOUNTING

3.1.The Surface Mount shall have four 0.34" holes on the back wall for surface mounting on a wall or strapping to a pole.

3.2.Pole Mounting Kit, model ETP-PMKT, shall be available for strapping to a pole.

4.OPTIONS

4.1.Finish

4.1.1.Surface Mount Accessory shall be available unpainted with #4 brushed finish as model ETP-SM-SS.

4.1.2.Surface Mount Accessory shall be available painted blue with white EMERGENCY lettering as model ETP-SM-BLUE.

4.1.3.Surface Mount Accessory shall be available painted red with white EMERGENCY lettering as model ETP-SM-RED.

4.1.4.Surface Mount Accessory shall be available painted in custom colors and with custom lettering.

4.2.Communications

4.2.1.Surface Mount Accessory shall accept any Talk-A-Phone 400-series or 500-series flush mounting emergency phone.

4.3.Conduit Entry

4.3.1.Unit shall be available with conduit entry hole on top surface as model ETP-SM-I.

4.3.2.Unit shall be available with conduit entry on both top and bottom as model ETP-SM-2HOLE.

5.Compliance

5.1.Enclosure shall be certified to UL Standard 60950.

6.WARRANTY

6.1.Surface Mount Accessory shall be warrantied against any defects in material and workmanship, under normal use, for a period of two years from date of installation. In the event system is found by manufacturer to be defective within the warranty period, manufacturer shall repair and/or replace any defective parts, provided the equipment is returned to manufacturer.
