Role: Mechanical Engineer. Mr. DeLoach Conducted pre-design meetings with the Project Manager and all disciplines to assign specific tasks and schedule coordination meetings with “Interdisciplinary Redicheck Review” at 15%, 30% and 60% production stages. After the completion of plans and specifications; Mr. DeLoach conducted a complete “Redicheck Review” of the project providing a written list of review comments and drawings and specifications that have been marked in color. As a Mechanical Engineer, Mr. DeLoach performed field investigations and the verification of site drawings. He also designed a new HVAC system, utilizing air-to-air heat pumps with passive reheat using a heat pipe. Cost of Work: $1.6M.

Role: Mechanical Engineer. Mr. DeLoach designed Replacement of the HVAC package systems with split system water to air heat pumps for multiple zones. The existing earth coupled geothermal loop was reused and expanded with new loops/wells to support the new CID addition, Provided a new web based DDC control system for all HVAC and domestic water heating equipment compatible with base energy management system. Plumbing systems were designed to suit new bathroom layouts with new fixtures. Existing utility service lines for DWV and water were reused to serve the new systems. Cost of Construction: $138K.

Role: Mechanical Engineer. Mr. DeLoach redesigned existing Water Source Heat Pump HVAC systems for areas being renovated by removing, storing, and protecting for reuse. Geothermal earth coupled piping systems were modified and re-piped. New building systems for the addition included high efficient water to air heat pump, new condenser water pumps, and expanded earth coupled piping. A new web based DDC control system was provided compatible with base energy management system. Mr. DeLoach designed new plumbing systems for new ADA toilets. The existing building was occupied during construction requiring that systems be maintained in service to maximum extent possible, phasing work to minimize interruptions. Cost of Construction: $1M.

Role: Mechanical Engineer. Coordinate design of demolition of existing inefficient mixed air multi-zone AHU’s with hot deck and cold deck systems. Mr. DeLoach designed the replacement system, a more efficient cold deck/by-pass deck AHU’s with individual zone hot water duct mounted reheat coils (Texas run-around). He designed a DDC controls system to provide efficient operating sequences for the air conditioning system.
