Competition Rules
1)There will be 4 stations set up with teams completing all 4 stations
Station 1 – Traditional Archery
- Each archer has 9 arrows, taking 3 at a time.
- The archer fires the arrows at the target. The arrow must stay on the target for at least 5 seconds to count. Points are:
- Gold – 10 points
- Red – 5 points
- Blue - 3 points
- Black - 2 points
- White – 1 point
- If an arrow goes over two score zones, in order to claim the higher points at least half of the sucker must be on that score
- Different sized hoops are placed at different distances apart.
- Arrows must stay in the hoop for at least 5 seconds after landing.
- Using back of archery boss, use the jigsaw scoring method to see how many points they can score.
- 9 arrows for each person in team (usually firing 3 at a time).
- Bench lined up with 5 big balls on cones (football / netballs / general softballs) and 5 small balls on cones (tennis balls)
- Aim to knock off as many objects as possible from the bench, 1 point for each object.
- 9 arrows for each person in a team to be taken all at once
- This event has a time limit and this time limit will be communicated to participants at the competition as it will depend upon numbers of teams
Scoring
Each team on each station should be given a ranking for their total scores on that station. For example, if there were 10 teams, the team with the highest score on that station would receive 10 points, the team with the lowest points would score 1 point..
Each team’s total points would then be added together across all stations completed. The highest number of points would be the winning team.
