ARC Foundation Scholarship
ClintonCommunity College Guidelines
2018-2019
The ARC Foundation Board of Directors has stipulated the following guidelines under which the scholarship will be awarded:
- Applicant must be a resident of Clinton County for three years and be accepted full-time into a degree program as a first or second year student.
- The scholarship would be for the purpose of assisting the individual in obtaining his/her undergraduate degree in a field related to clinical service for the intellectual and other developmentally disabled. (Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Registered Nurse, Speech-Language-Pathologist, Psychology, Sociology, Special Ed, Human Services and Social Work).
- Applications would be received annually and would be judged by a committee of the Board of Directors of the ARC Foundation who will make a recommendation to be endorsed by the Board of Directors.
- The recipient of the award would be officially announced by a member of the ARC Foundation Board at the annual meeting of the Advocacy and ResourceCenter and the announcement would be publicized locally.
- The amount of the scholarship would be determined annually by the Board of Directors of the ARC Foundation. The award for the 2018-2019 school years will be $1,000.
- Scholarship monies will be awarded in two installments at the end of the fall and spring semesters after semester grades have been submitted to the ARC, and will be paid directly to the college on behalf of the recipient.
- Scholarship recipient is expected to provide proof of a GPA of 2.75 or higher on a 4.0 system, with application, in order to be considered.
- Recipient is expected to maintain a minimum of 2.75 GPA in order to be eligible for payment for each semester and will need to provide proof of such.
