Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)

Executive Summary

Barack Obama Charter School

Section 1: Stakeholder Engagement Process

●Parents, community partners, pupils, and school staff have actively engaged in the development of The Barack Obama Charter School (BOCS) LCAP.

●Staff were invited to discuss budget priorities that are aligned with the school’s goals. The staff brainstormed spending priorities and voted via a budget priority.

●As part of its LCAP development process, BOCS created a parent survey to seek specific feedback on the school’s LCAP goals and priorities. This survey was distributed in May to parents. Parents were also invited to participate during a meeting with the principal to discuss goals and action steps in more detail.

●The BOCS School Site Council met monthly to discuss the LCAP goals. The initial draft was reviewed by this committee before submission and helped add action.
