On this day in 1860, the Pony Express was established. The purpose of the Pony Express was to provide the fastest mail delivery between S. Joseph, Missouri, and Sacramento California. **NEW** On the streets of New York City, the first call using a cell phone was made on April 3, 1973. The call was made by Martin Cooper, an inventor.
