Redemptorist Catholic Field Trip Policy

(Taken from Parent/Student Handbook)

All field trips are planned with a direct contribution to the educational learning process. Field trips within our city or to surrounding areas regarding points of interest are scheduled by various teachers throughout the year. These trips are designed to supplement different aspects of the classroom curriculum and to introduce students to resources of the community. Parents will receive notices of field trips well in advance of the scheduled trip date and will be asked to sign a field trip permission form. Students will not be allowed to go on field trips without signed parental consent. A fee may be requested at times to defray bus and admission costs. Parents may volunteer as chaperones but are asked to do so without siblings or young children-the parent's attention is needed for chaperoning the class.

NOTE: ALL CHAPERONES MUST BE SAFE ENVIRONMENT CERTIFIED. IT IS NOT PERMISSABLE FOR PARENTS, WHO ARE NOT CERTIFIED, TO FOLLOW THE CLASS AND THEN JOIN THEM AT THEIR DESTINATION.

Students may go on field trips with their class or club only. Students are expected to follow all rules and regulations given by the teacher and chaperones. They may be allowed to wear other clothing besides their uniforms. This is left to the discretion of the principal. Students who misbehave will be sent back to school and disciplined if the situation warrants this action.NO SIGN OUTS DURING FIELD TRIPS WILL BE ALLOWED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
