ApplicationXtender Document Manager Window Setup

1.)  It is recommended to close all your individual windows so that you end up with just a large gray area.

Docking the Applications Window:

2.)  Next, add the Applications window by clicking on the application icon ( ) in the top AX toolbar. Notice that the Applications window has a title bar.

3.)  Right click in the white area of the Applications window and uncheck the “Float as MDI Window”.

4.)  Now, right click in the white area of the Applications window again and now select “Allow Docking”.

5.)  Grab the title bar of the Applications window with the click of the left mouse button and slightly move the window upward until it becomes docked (Applications title bar disappears).

Docking the Query Window:

6.)  Now, let’s doc the Query window. First, to make viewing easier, close the Applications window by clicking on the red x in the upper right corner of the Applications window.

7.)  Open the query window by clicking on EDIT in the menu bar and selecting “New Query”.

8.)  The Query window will appear. Right click below the title bar in the gray area and uncheck the “Float as MDI Window”.

9.)  Now, to dock the window, left click on the new query title bar and drag the window to the bottom of the screen till it becomes docked and the title bar disappears.

10.) Now when a document is opened from the Query window, it will open up along with the index

window, in the remaining gray area.

Closing/adjusting windows within Document Manager:

·  The Applications and Query window sizes can be adjusted based on preference. To resize the windows, drag the mouse over the side of the window and when the pointer changes to a double headed arrow, you can click the left mouse button and drag the window to the desired size.

·  To close the window, just click on the x located within the window you wish to close.
