Application to access Tasmanian Government Contracts

All non-government organisations seeking to access Tasmanian Government Common Use Contracts must provide the following information in order to be assessed for eligibility to access the services offered.

Please note that all Tasmanian Government Common Use Contracts are exclusively for the conduct of business within Tasmania.

Eligibility Criteria for determining access to Common Use Contracts

Non-Government organisations will be eligible to access Government contracts where:

  • they are endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as an Income Tax Exempt Charity; or
  • they are an organisation established by will or instrument of trust or have the legal structure of an unincorporated association or a corporation, and benefit the community, or a section of it, through:

▫the relief of poverty or sickness or the needs of the aged, including through hospitals and nursing homes, relief agencies, youth and women’s refuges, drug rehabilitation services, disability services, refugee welfare centres, and organisations that support disadvantaged indigenous people or supply furniture, clothing and low-cost housing to the poor;

▫the advancement of education, including through schools, colleges, universities, research and scientific institutes;

▫the provision of training or business assistance, including Industry Training Advisory Boards, group training providers, small business mentoring service providers and business enterprise centres;

▫the advancement of religion;

▫the provision of non-profit child care services;

▫the provision of employment services;

▫the provision of migrant support services; or

▫the representation of Tasmanian Government employees as a non-profit employee association.
