During the weekend all traders/ exhibitors/charities must be covered by public liability insurance of no less than £100,000.00 on any one accident. The event field is deemed a public highway and therefore any self-propelled machine must be insured if the machine is to be driven on the event field. Any person wishing to drive any machine on the event site must hold an appropriate driving licence. Driving licences and insurance documents must be available for inspection on the day.
NO vehicles can be moved during event opening hours 10.00am to 5.00 pm each day
All traders/exhibitors/charity stalls will need to complete and submit risk assessment forms.

Your stall and paraphernalia MUST be contained in the provided pitch, including all guy ropes and display items or you must pay for a double pitch. Encroaching on neighbouring pitches is not permitted. All electrical leads and cables are to be suitably covered so they do not create a trip hazard. All guy ropes should be highlighted with high visibility markings or covered to eliminate trip hazards. Each pitch is issued with two weekend passes. Any additional passes will need to be purchased before the event. Please bring your own table & provisions for wet weather conditions. Traders camp free within own pitch. Any additional camping pitch needed will be in main camp site area, must be pre booked and paid for.

Camping / Overnight Stay

Anyone camping in the MAIN CAMPING AREA will need to purchase a weekend pass to gain access to the event.

Anyone staying overnight must be registered. No modern vehicles, tents or trailers will be allowed in The Camp area. ALL Caravans will be sited in main camping area and MUST be pre booked. Entry to camping site from Thursday 18th August 2016 after 2.00pm. Own sanitation and water essential if arriving Thursday. Main event toilets not in use until Friday 19th August. Please note toilet facilities are provided within the camping and main site areas. Toilets on site will have alcohol hand wash only. Fresh water is freely available both in the main event area and the camping site but there are no dedicated washing or showering facilities. Generators must be switched off and not used between 12 midnight and 7.00 am and only individual portable toilets will be in use during these hours. Site to be vacated by Monday 22nd August 2016 before 4.00 pm please.

Size of pitch required

The pitch provided is wide enough for a tent or caravan/motor home plus awning. There should be enough space to park a vehicle too. If car/vehicle cannot fit within the allocated space then they must be removed to the public car park. Each pitch is marked out so please ensure that the correct size pitch it booked and that your vehicle will fit into it.

Entrance to evening dance is by ticket only. No person under the age of 12 years admitted. Food is not included in ticket price, bar and catering facilities are available. No glass or own food or drink to be taken into dance venue. Please respect our food and drinks policy. 1940s dress encouraged but not essential. Security officers will be present at the venue.

Please note that we are unable to make any refunds and

therefore all tickets and passes are non returnable.

Ramsey 1940s reserve the right to refuse admission and to remove any persons and their equipment from the event/site at any time. Database is for our use only and will not be available to anyone outside the 40s Committee.

Under the Health & Safety at Work Act (1999) all Trade Stand Operators are required to produce a Risk Assessment for all activities including setting up, operating the stand during the 1940s event, dismantling and removal from site afterwards. This includes the provision of oil spill granules by Vehicle Clubs for all show vehicles. Removal of waste and contaminated material to the site skip is the responsibility of the Trade Stand Operators and Club Members. Public Liability Insurance is compulsory and valid certificates must be produced on request.
