INFORMATION

The Integrated Education Fund

The IEFis the charity which provides financial support for the development and growth of integrated education. Our aim is to make integration, not separation, the norm in our education system through supporting the continued growth of integrated school places and by encouraging all schools to encourage, and provide the opportunity for all pupils to engage meaningfully together, whatever their cultural and religious backgrounds, in an environment that encourages them to achieve their full potential and proactively addresses and celebrates the different dimensions of diversity.

Grants

The Trust Programme– Integration in Practice is designed to support integrated schools with embedding the integrated ethos within the structure of the school. Examples may include, training for new staff or governors, developing school policies, religious education, assemblies and festivals. Applicants are encouraged to work with other integrated schools close by and joint applications will be accepted eg two integrated primary schoolsmay wish to work together or an integrated primary and post primary school.

Funding Available

Funding of up to £5,000 per project is available. The total amount of funding available for the programme is limited and therefore the number of grants that the IEF can award is also restricted.

CRITERIA

In order to be considered for a Trust Programme grant,applicants should show that the grant will:

  • support clear development and / or improvements on issues of integration within the school setting including improving religious balance within the school

Eligibility:

  • This programme is open to integrated schools only
  • Integrated schools may only make one funding application per allocation round
