Eligibility and Qualifications
Applicant must be:
- A current permanent resident of Pinellas County, Florida, or will attend college next year in Pinellas County, Florida AND
- A full-time female student in a four-year college/university or transferring to a four-year college/university OR
- Accepted to a graduate program AND
- A student in good academic standing, AND
- A member of a National Panhellenic Conference Sorority
Selection based on:
- Financial need and academic achievement
- Additional consideration will be given to leadership abilities and experiences
- An essay and letter of recommendation
Award Amount:
The number of scholarships awarded and the amount will be determined according to funds available. It is hoped that the range will be $750 - $1,000.
To complete the application, attach the following:
- A complete list of extracurricular activities for high school and college. List organizations, clubs, offices held, committees, community service, awards, honoraries, etc.).
- A statement from your Financial Aid Officer regarding any financial assistance (grants, scholarships, loans, aid) you are receiving now and/or anticipate receiving next year.
- A letter of recommendation from a faculty member or other collegiate advisor.
- An official university transcript (transcripts if more than one college or university). At least one semester must be completed and reflected on transcript(s).
- A short essay addressing the following: Why you are applying for this scholarship?
Include any additional comments or information that may be applicable (optional).
Return the above five required items and this scholarship application. (Transcripts may come separately.)
The application and transcript must be received on or before April 15, 2017.
