Scholarship Terms and Information
Pat and Patty Schmelzle have established a scholarship in memory of their daughter, Kathy. The scholarship is to be awarded to a graduating senior from NemahaValleyHigh School who plans to pursue a career in education. The scholarship will be in the amount of $250 at the time of graduation, with an additional $250 to be awarded at the beginning of the student’s junior year in college, providing they are continuing to work toward a degree in education. The STEP Foundation will administer the scholarship.
Following are the qualifications and administrative guidelines for the scholarships.
Qualifications:
- Graduating senior from NemahaValleyHigh School
- Must enroll as a full time student pursuant to the college/university guidelines
- Must be planning to enter a program with a major in teacher education.
- Recipient may receive an additional $250 at the beginning of the junior year in college by submitting a copy of enrollment and a written request to the STEP Foundation, PO Box 165, Seneca, KS66538
