Students not currently enrolled at the University of Washington must submit, in addition to this Departmental Application Form, a standard University of Washington Application. STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES

Please attach a typed page to make your Statement of Objectives. Include your professional goals, learning experiences, community service and business situations which may have helped you decide to become a landscape architect.

PORTFOLIO

Please send a collection of material indicating your creative capabilities, graphic proficiency, and aesthetic and environmental sensitivity. The portfolio MUST be contained in an 8 1/2" x 11" folder or binder. It should include:

•Photographs, prints, photostats, or other reproductions of your work. No original document should be submitted; we cannot be responsible. These exhibits may include products from crafts, artwork, photography, design studios, creative writing, musical compositions, or anything which demonstrates your creative interests and potential. Remember that your creative potential is also indicated by the way you present these exhibits.

•A brief title or description; if the exhibit includes a team project, explain or indicate your individual work.

•Do not submit slides. Make prints.

REFERENCES

Three (3) letters of recommendation are required by the Department. They should be written by persons who know your professional potential, and should be sent by them directly to the Department.
