APICS STL – BOD Meeting December 17, 2015

Attending: Karen Broyles, Jeff Mudd, Lou Lozanov, Jim Phelps, Ray Scott, Reggie Trujillo, Al Downs, Theresa Scully

Not attending: Tim McLaughlin

Opening:

  • Jeff opened by briefly reviewing the agenda for the meeting and assigning responsibilities
  • Jeff reviewed the Christmas Fire Safety message.
  • Jeff reviewed the World Wide Technologies tour success and how we had an attendance of 24.

Action Item Review:

  • Ray to provide update on MO back sales tax issue – Due in December
  • Ray to complete the MO sales tax exemption application(MO 1746) – Due in December
  • Ray to investigate steps to reorganize the chapter as a 501c3 – Due in December

New Business:

  • Program review:
  • Jan webinar will be on Decision Analysis-Kepner Tregoe tool
  • Lou sent out the updated Programs plan for the rest of the year – see attachment
  • Jim asked for BOD approval to explore in more detail the use of an intern for marketing assistance and the BOD approved.
  • Professional Development updated BOD on classes currently being held at Sunnen and SCCC. Theresa suggested that we offer Principles and Lean this year. Lou suggested that we research working with the DOL to be part of the training opportunities offered would be an opportunity to fulfill our mission of training and certification that enhance people’s careers.
  • Jeff briefly reviewed CBAR planning tool assignment s and reminded everyone that the next CBAR review we will be actually scoring our respective areas of responsibility.
  • Ray commented that we are in good financial condition.
  • Jeff acknowledged that the website is currently in need of improvement and that he was working on it.
  • Jeff also mentioned that he would be working with Cindy Minor from St. Louis University in order to co-sponsor a Supply Chain Conference.
