INVITATION TO CELEBRATE THE COMING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

This year 47 children of the Parish were confirmed by His Grace Archbishop Dermot Clifford on Wednesday, 21st May. The children have been richly blessed by Teachers, Ms. Sonya McKeon, Caherconlish School, and Mr. Michael McCarthy (Principal), Caherline School who worked with commitment and enthusiasm to prepare them for confirmation. We can say with conviction that we have experienced the Holy Spirit unifying us (young people, parents, teachers and priests) bringing great warmth into our lives. Providentially, Mossy Hynan has been a God-send, and has worked with all to create a beautiful “Sacred Space” for the children where they feel held and nurtured. We know that you all enjoyed the Celebration of Confirmation and experienced the fire of the ‘Holy Spirit ’erupting, into our lives! You are invited to sustain this warm experience and join the confirmation children as they continue their faith journey as we celebrate the great feast/fire of Pentecost at the 6.30pm Mass on Saturday June 7th, with drama, music and song. This is a very special day in the History of the Church. This day is often called the birthday of the Church. The first coming of the Holy Spirit on the Church was wind and fire and the telling of God’s wonderful deeds in many tongues. The Spirit also comes as many gifts for the common good, bringing peace along with God’s forgiving power.

Examination Time: We pray for all those doing exams at this time.

Diocesan Lourdes Pilgrimage (16th-21st June) We wish those going on the Diocesan Lourdes Pilgrimage (16th-21st) June well and ask them to pray for us. Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us.
