Parade Regulations

Formation:

Report to L Street between 10th and 11th Streetsand west on 10th Street tonorth bound lanes of Highway 269. Do not use United Health Clinic parking lot for decorating or parking your entry. Once you drop off your child and he/she is lined up, we ask parents and spectators to walk to center of town and wait for parade. It is important that we be lined up by 11:30 a.m. in order to begin at 12:00 noon. Rain or shine the parade will go on!

Judging:

You will be allowed 2 minutes to stop to perform in front of announcer’s booth if you wish to be judged. (If you have a CD or recording to be used while performing indicate on application and provide to the announcer’s boothprior to parade.) EACH ENTRY WILL BE ASSIGNED A NUMBER TO MAKE IT EASIER FOR THE JUDGES.

Throw Aways:

Nothing may be thrown from an entry to the spectators of the parade. Throwing candy and trinkets tend to encourage children to run out into the parade line and vehicles can seriously injure them. If you wish to distribute articles/CANDY to those along the route, it will be necessary for you to have persons walking along sides of spectators handing out the articles/CANDY.

Alcoholic Beverages:

No alcoholic beverages may be consumed while in the line of the march or in the judging areas. This restriction is made for the safety of participants and spectators.

Publicity Information:

The parade announcer will use the information provided by you on your parade application when talking about your entry. Details of participants, vehicles, etc. are things that might be used in telling the spectators about you or your group.

Recognition and Award:

Awards will be announced and presented at the Keenan Center following the end of parade at 2:00 p.m.
