Annual Environmental Health Forum

The REHIS Annual Environmental Health Forum provides all Environmental Health Professionals in both the public and private sectors an opportunity to maintain and enhance their knowledge, skills and competence.

This year’s Forum under the theme ‘Building Better Futures’ will consist of a whole day plenary session (Wednesday 26 April) and morning only workshop sessions (Thursday 27 April).

The plenary session will cover a wide range of topical updates relevant to professionals operating at all levels in their organisations. The workshop sessions will cover Food Safety and Food Standards; Occupational Health and Safety; Public Health and Housing; and, Pollution Control and Environmental Protection. Delegates to the workshops can choose between Occupational Health and Safety, and Public Health and Housing and between Food Safety and Food Standards, and Pollution Control and Environmental Protection,

DAY 1PLENARY SESSIONS

Non-Members£140.00

Full day, includes buffet lunch and refreshments

Members ‘1’£110.00

Includes all members of REHIS, Environmental Health Association of Ireland, the Institute of Food Science and

Technology, Royal Society for Public Health, Environmental Protection Scotland and the Institute of Acoustics, and

Registered Presenters from REHIS Approved Training Centres.

Members ‘2’£90.00

Further reduced rate for members who are Chartered EHOs (or CPD active and working towards Chartered status); Registered Student/Graduate Trainee EHOs, Students studying on a REHIS accredited MSc/BSc (Hons) Environmental Health degree course – there will also be a limited number of free places for Students on accredited degree courses.

Informal dinner – additional cost of £30.00 (delegates) or £40.00 (non-delegates). Tickets to be purchased in advance.

DAY 2WORKSHOP SESSIONS

Accommodation

Overnight accommodation at the preferential rate of £50.00 including a buffet breakfast has been arranged at the Holiday Inn Express Greenock on Cartsburn and early booking is advised. The Holiday Inn Express Greenock is a 10 minute walk from the Beacon Arts Centre. There is complimentary parking at the hotel for over 100 cars.

Overnight accommodation is also available at a number of hotels in central Greenock.Delegates are encouraged to make their own arrangements at the earliest opportunity.

Getting to the Venue

Travel to Greenock Central Station by train from Glasgow Central Station is recommended. Fast trains take around 30 minutes. The Beacon Arts Centre is a 5 minute walk from Greenock Central Station. Those preferring to travel by car can park outside the Waterfront Leisure Complex on Custom House Way free of charge. The Complex is a 5 minute walk from the Centre.
