Lower Merion High School Players Award

2013 Nomination

Notes on criteria, eligibility and selection.

Criteria for this award are reviewed each year by PLAYERS and approved by the director of activities and athletics, currently Mr. Walsh. They include suggestions from current and former coaches and were compiled originally by the underclass members of the 2003 Executive Board.

Eligibility depends first on being a "senior in good standing." This means, simply, that you meet all of the school's requirements for graduation.

The criteria used in the selection process below award points based on increasingly committed levels of participation, and devotion, to membership in PLAYERS. “Participation” is worth 1 point / show. “PDS” or equivalent level of participation is worth 2 points / show. “Thespian” membership is worth 2 points. “Commitment to 3 Crews” which goes beyond most levels, is worth 3 points.

For 2013, Mr. Grace, Jenny, Marisa, Adam, as the underclass member of this year’s board, will review all of the applications and recommend the award recipient. Mr. Walsh and Mr. Hughes will approve any award winner.
