Position Description: / The Community Support Individual provides a consumer ongoing, consistent rehabilitative and environmental support and resources in order to assist him/her with restoring the best possible functional level within their surrounding with the greatest degree of life quality enhancement, self-efficiency and recovery.

Major Duties:
Provide assistance to the individual (child/adolescent), in the development of advanced directives related to his/her behavioral healthcare. Assist in the development of interpersonal, community coping and functional skills. Encourage the development of supports in the home, school, workplace and other environments. Assist with financial management skills, social skills and other skills/behaviors that require development for the child. Assist with personal development and work performance of the child/adolescent, and other behavioral, therapeutic interventions and support. Support and intervene in crisis situations. Main function - Provide a minimum of 130 units (33 hours) of visitations and documentation notes that relate to the customer-driven mental health treatment plan.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university. These workers should have a strong desire to help others, effective communication skills, a sense of responsibility, and the ability to manage time effectively.Many human services jobs involve direct contact with people who are vulnerable to exploitation or mistreatment; so patience and understanding are also highly valued characteristics. Ability to relate well and interact with others especially with children and adolescents. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Bilingual a plus. Must be a U.S. citizen. Good character, integrity, and enthusiasm in working with children.

Special Notes:
