RMJ Technologies/The National Association of Regional Councils/Garmin International/Universal Tracking Solutions Inc. (DNRI)

Announce Partnership to Mitigate Fuel Costs and Emissions

SAN DIEGO, CA. – October 14, 2008– RMJ Marketing, Inc. dba RMJ Technologies announced today that RMJ Technologies, The National Association of Regional Councils (NARC), Garmin International and Universal Tracking Solutions Inc, have partnered to assist the NARC in providing an Automated Vehicle Location System (AVL)/Vehicle GPS system with connected navigation to assist its members in lower overall fleet operating costs, mitigate emissions and contribute to homeland security preparedness.

NARC members will benefit from a reduced price by purchasing this AVL with connected navigation as a member benefit. The Universal Tracking Solution Inc, system, sold by RMJ Technologies, provides all of the traditional vehicle tracking technology but also includes navigation with turn -by- turn voice prompted directions from Garmin, the global leader in satellite navigation.

The ROI on the use of such a system is greatly positive.

  1. Reduce Carbon Emissions by driving less, reducing idle time, and controlling speed. This system works to mitigate all three factors. With the use of the route optimization tool and navigation, miles driven is reduced by nearly 20%. With idle and speed reports and alerts, these issues are reduced upwards to 20%.
  2. Reduce Fuel Costs by again driving less, reducing idle time, and controlling speed. This system allows fleet managers to manage their fleet and possibly reduce fleet size with the use of route optimization, idle and speed alerts and reports, and maintenance reports. In addition, the use of the Garmin navigation tool allows drivers to receivecomplete routes and dispatched addresses -thereby receive turn by turn directions from one destination to the next. It also permits them to locate fuel stations, restaurants, and other landmarks throughout the work day at the press of a button. All of these factors contribute to a 20% or more reduction in overall operating expenses.
  3. Homeland Security measures are enhanced with fleet vehicles equipped with Garmin navigation. In the event of a natural disaster that removes or obstructs street signs, vehicles are still able to find specific locations with the use of the GPS device. This capability is especially helpful if drivers are unfamiliar with the area.
  4. Safety and Liability issues are greatly assisted with this system. First off, being able to control speed immediately reduces the opportunity for accidents on the roadway. This enhances the safety of the general public as well as the employees of the agency. The system also is helpful in exonerating a driver accused of speeding or some other infraction, as the system is able to let you know how fast the vehicle was moving and where it actually was at the time of an alleged incident.

  1. Lost productivity is greatly reduced by utilizing the Off Hours Reports, Geofence and Vehicle Recovery features of the system. The off hours reports and alerts will notify a fleet manager of someone using a vehicle outside of normal working hours which puts the employee and the agency at great risk. The Geofencing will notify a fleet manager of a vehicle being stolen as it exists a pre-defined space. Lastly, liability is reduced in recovering stolen vehicles, as the system will lead police directly to the vehicle.

“At RMJ Technologies we have helped numerous clients reduce overall operating expenses, mitigate emissions and improve the basic infrastructure of their organization with the use of vehicle GPS technology combined with integrated navigation. We are excited to be a part of this partnership which can bring a multitude of solutions to NARC members including the many legislative mandates, “stated Jerome Toliver, CEO RMJ Technologies.
