BACKGROUND INFORMATION

ANIMATE CREATE STUDIOS is an innovative independent animation studio based in the coastal town of Whitstable, Kent. We specialise in developing and producing animated commercials, consultation films and short films.

Creative Director, Dan Richards founded Animate Create in 2007 and leads a small, passionate creative team of animators. Alongside our sister company (Animate Create CIC) we have rapidly expanded in recent years and want to continue growing by offering cutting edge animation to new and existingclients who understand that animation is an excellent way of engaging audiences and a great tool for communicating their products and services to potential customers.

Up until now, theteam has been driven by the Creative Director and our freelance consultants, but with a growing production schedulethe studio feels it is the right time to introduce a new full-time sales and marketing role to help generate and negotiate sales for short animation production.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: SUMMARY

This has been designed as a full-time, permanent appointment but we are happy to consider applications that include a proposal to undertake the role successfully on a part-time basis.

The role will be based at our studio in Whitstable, with local, regional and national travel expected, including occasional weekend and evening working where events and locations require.

Total compensation is made up of basic salary plus performance-related bonuses.

Basic full-time starting salary: £18,000 p.a. gross (pro-rata’d for part time).

Current potential on-target earnings (basic + performance-related bonuses): up to £26,000 p.a. gross

Complete terms and conditions are as specified in the contract of employment.

Sales & MARKETING REPRESENTATIVE

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports to: Creative Director

Job Purpose: To maximize sales revenuefrom Animate Create Studios and its related activities and interests.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Marketing

  1. Plan and implement a sales & marketingto sell Animate Create’s commercial services (currently animation production, commercials and consultation films) to target market sectors, as directed by and with the support of the Creative Director and within the maximum production capacity set by the Creative Director.
  2. Formulate and maintain effective and precise sales tracking systems.
  3. Build and effectively utilize customer and prospect data using the agreed database.
  4. Develop ideas and create offers for direct mail and marketing (e-mailers, incentives, corporate newsletters, open days, competitions etc.) to key clients and potential clients.
  5. Help maintain an effective professional network around Animate Create Studios in order to maximise sales and marketing opportunities.
  6. Provide regular progress reports on agreed sales targets, enquiry response times, prospect approaches, conversions and return on marketing investment.
  7. Alongside the Creative Director, identify and develop new potential markets for existing services, within the current studio capacity.
  8. Liaise with the Creative Director and his delegates to identify and research potential new products and services in response to target market feedback.

Client management

  1. Ensure that all prospects receive an immediate response and enquiries are dealt with efficiently and professionally.
  2. Brief the Creative Director fully for any sales meetings which he attends.
  3. Record sales-related agreements and suggestions made between Animate Create and its clients, including those made during creative meetings.
  4. Ensure the smooth handover from the sales process to the creative process.
  5. Monitor creative progress on a sales-related project in order to provide client updates as directed by the Creative Director.

Business support

  1. Contribute fully to the team’s efforts in maintaining and improving the physical working environment at Animate Create studios.
  2. Provide business planning support around the studio environment as needed.
  3. Any other such duties as may be reasonably required, as instructed by the Creative Director or his delegates.
