Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 20(1) of the Planning & Development Acts 2000 – 2017 that, Kerry County Council, being the Planning Authority for the County of Kerry, intends to prepare Local Area Plans for the Listowel Municipal District andSouth and West Kerry Municipal District, as follows:-

Pre-Draft Invitation to make Submissions
Submissions or observations on issues which may need to be considered in the preparation of the Draft Listowel Municipal District Local Area Plan are hereby invited from members of the public and other interested parties. Children, or groups or associations representing the interests of children, are entitled to make submissions or observations.
On the basis that it is proposed to include a variation to the Listowel Town Development Plan covering the former Town Council administrativearea within this planning policy review, parties with an interest in lands within theformer Listowel Town Council administrative area should consider the need to make a submission to the County Council as part of this consultative process.
Submissions may be made during the period from Thursday8th February 2018 until Friday 23rdMarch 2018.Submissions should be made in writingand addressed to:-

Buildings, Rathass, Tralee and marked‘Pre-Draft Submission Listowel MD’.
Submissions will also be accepted by email to the following email address only:
All such submissions lodged within the above appropriate period will be taken into consideration prior to the preparation of the Draft Listowel Municipal District Local Area Plan.
Please note that an online survey for the Listowel Municipal District Local Area Plan took place in October/November 2017.

Online Surveyfor the DraftSouth WestKerryMunicipal District Local Area Plan
The Planning Department of Kerry County Council is also undertaking an online survey and the purpose of this non-statutory and informal consultation is to gain a better understanding of the public’s perspectives and opinions in relation to settlements within the South and West KerryMunicipal District. This information will feed back into the drafting of the Plan.The online survey is open from 8th February 2018 until 23rd March 2018.
