Use this document if you are a non-professional performing group or ensemble, or if you are an organisation seeking to buy instruments on behalf of non-professional music making in any genre.

Please note: Information provided in the application will form part of Music Network’s research into the area of music capital supports. Individual responses to questions will not be disclosed, but composite information will be used to analyse what future supports are necessary. A full response to each question will aid this process.

HOW TO APPLY
CLOSING DATE: 12pm (noon), Thursday 26th January 2017.
The process for applying is as follows:
- Read the Music Capital Scheme 2016Guidelines.
- We strongly recommend that you download the application form questions and save to your computer.
- Complete a draft version of your application form and save it. Please note, this document is not the application form and will not be accepted as such.
- Upload all essential and optional support materials to a Dropbox folder, a link to this folder must be provided in Section 4 of the application form. All support materials must be submitted via Dropbox, it is not possible to submit any part of the application in hardcopy. Please refer to the Music Capital Scheme 2016 Guidelines for information relating to support material.
Essential support material
- History of organisation (max 1,000 words)
(A document detailing the development of the organisation since its establishment. In the case of primary/post-primary schools, this may focus specifically on the development of its music programme)
- List and biographies of artistic personnel (max 1,000 words)
(Give a list of all artistic personnel, along with a curriculum vitae or other information detailing the musical career of the main personnel involved in tuition within the organisation. Key artistic personnel may include, but is not limited to, artistic director, musical director and/or assistant director, tutors/ visiting composers/ musicians providing tuition, etc)
- Copy of Child/Vulnerable Adults Protection Policy of organisation(if applicable)
(A vulnerable adult is a person aged 18 years or over who may require assistance to care for themselves, or protect themselves from harm or from being exploited. This may be because they have a disability (either mental health, intellectual or physical), a sensory impairment, are old and frail, or have some other form of illness.)
- Copy of constitution or memorandum and articles of association of organisation (if applicable- primary/post primary schools are not required to supply this item)
- Two quotations from instrument dealers for proposed purchases or similar
(Applications must include quotations for supply of instruments from at least two separate instrument dealers.)
- List of members of board/committee, as applicable, indicating positions held (e.g. chairperson, secretary, PRO etc)
- List of instrument currently owned by organisation, if applicable, including number and type of instruments, state of repair and approximate life span
Note: If you have not included all of the above, your application is not eligible for consideration under the Music Capital Scheme 2016. Text documents should be in Word or PDF format.
Optional support material
- Audio/video recordings- highly recommended. (Applicants may save up to three audio files (mp3 format only) in their Dropbox folder or submit links to online audio/video recordings at question 2.12 below. If submitting audio files via Dropbox, applicants should include a Word document in the folder which lists the recording details (date, location of recording and start/stop times of relevant section to listen to/view).
- Publicity material- posters, programmes, flyers etc.
